Terms of service

1. The service

Visible Needs is a household planning and reflection tool. It helps adults record needs, capacity, agreements, care-network context and reflections inside a household.

It is not therapy, medical advice, legal advice, emergency support or crisis intervention. In an emergency, contact local emergency services or a person you trust.

2. Who may use it

Account holders must be adults. Children and dependents are represented only through profiles an adult manages. You may join only a household you are genuinely part of or have been invited to.

3. Your account

Keep your credentials secure, use accurate contact details, do not share access, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has got in. We may suspend or restrict an account where that is needed to protect users, household data or the service.

4. Household content

You decide what goes in. Household content can include sensitive family context, so do not enter information you are not entitled to share. The app applies visibility settings and enforces them in the database, but choosing the right visibility before you save is yours to do.

5. Acceptable use

• Do not access, or try to access, data outside your household.
• Do not invite people to a household without the authority to.
• Do not harass, threaten or abuse other people.
• Do not use the app for emergency response or crisis intervention.
• Do not upload unlawful, harmful or infringing content.
• Do not reverse engineer, attack, scrape or overload the service.
• Do not circumvent security or visibility controls.

6. During beta

Features may change, fail or be removed, and the service may be unavailable while something is fixed. You will not be charged unless a paid plan is introduced later and you accept it. We use your feedback to improve the product — and private family content should never be pasted into public tickets or third-party tools, by you or by us.

7. Safety limits

Visible Needs may surface reflection prompts and, in future, care suggestions. These are planning support. They are not professional advice and do not replace medical, psychological, legal, financial, emergency or safeguarding support.

8. Intellectual property

The software, design, text and branding belong to Visible Needs or its licensors. You keep the rights in what you write, and grant us only the rights needed to host, process, display, secure and operate that content inside the service.

9. Privacy

The privacy policy explains how personal data is processed. It, the cookie policy, the subprocessor list and the data management page form part of what you should read before using the beta.

10. Payment

There is no billing today, and any prices shown in the app are indicative rather than an offer. If subscriptions are added, app-store payment rules will apply on iOS and Android, a billing provider becomes a subprocessor, and the privacy disclosures, these terms and the store declarations all change before that ships.

11. Ending it

You can stop using the service and request deletion at any time. We may suspend or end access for abuse, security risk, a legal requirement, or a material breach of these terms. What deletion actually does is described on the data management page.

12. Warranty

The beta is provided as-is and as-available. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and it is not suitable for emergency, therapeutic, medical, legal or safety-critical use. Mandatory consumer protections are not affected by anything here.

13. Liability, and 14. governing law

With counsel, deliberately unstated. This product can hold sensitive family and child context, and a liability cap or a choice of venue invented in-house would be worth less than nothing. The expected starting point is Swiss law with mandatory consumer protections preserved, and the final wording depends on the legal entity, the launch countries and the app-store requirements.
